Next to take part in Road Racing News rising in popularity Manx GP Top 6 series is another rapidly improving, hugely ambitious MGP competitor, Cramlington’s David McConnachy.
McConnachy who placed respectively 9th, 6th, 10th within last year’s Junior, opening Lightweight, Senior Manx GP encounters, answers to the Mountain Course themed set of questions are as follows:
Q1: When you first competed at the Manx, what was your first initial thought of the Mountain Course?
“Surreal feeling.”
Q2: Most memorable Manx GP bike?
“2018 R6 Yamaha, best handling bike I have ridden around the course.”
Q3: Most treasured memory from the Manx?
“Last year had to be best, with 2 Top 10 finishes in Junior, Senior and 6th on my mates home built Super Twin, picking up 3 replicas.”

Q4: Is there one specific Manx GP competitor that you look up to?
“Everyone really, to even compete around there takes a lot of effort and commitment. If I had to pick one, Michael ‘Miggy’ Evans.”
Q5: Describe the Manx GP in one word?
“Intense”
Q6: Finally, if you could race one machine from any series, championship around the Mountain Course, what would it be?
“Has to be a GP 250, dream bike.”
