New day, new TT 2024 start number news, this time descending upon the three-wheeling fraternity.
Despite a change in outfit personnel with brother Tom calling time on Mountain Course action, one aspect remains very much the same for Ben Birchall, maintaining the No.1 plate.
Birchall/new passenger Frenchman Kevin Rousseau, supported by Wyckham Blackwell and new PBM Racing title sponsor Hager, will be aboard LCR (Louis Christen Racing) Honda tackle.
Just like last year, the two-plate holders are FHO Racing’s Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley.
Third away is Southern 100 lap record holders, another anticipated front running pairing, Ryan Crowe/Callum Crowe (Kel Properties Ryde Honda).
Starting positions four, five have been assigned to World Championship great Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes (Bonovo Action Racing-Carl Cox Motorsport), and Sidecar TT wins record holder Dave Molyneux, joined by new wave passenger Jake Roberts (Kel Properties DMR Kawasaki).
Next scheduled to blast down Bray Hill is back out of retirement (it didn’t last long!) twice TT winner John Holden/Belgian Frank Claeys astride Carl Cox Motorsport sponsored Ryde KTM machinery.
Oliver’s Mount Sidecar Champions Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden follow at seven.
Whilst the remainder of the ten seeded driver/passenger partnerships feature the returning duos of Lee Crawford/Scott Hardie, Dave Holden Racing’s Lewis Blackstock/Patrick Rosney and Alan Founds joined by his TT debutant nephew Rhys Gibbons.
Outside the seeded competitors, added disclosed start numbers include Daryl Gibson/Tom Christie (12), Michael Russell/Vicky Cooke (22), Derek Lynch/Anto McDonnell (23) and Bob Dawson/Matthew Sims (30).
