With just under seven weeks till TT 2024 takes centre stage, the twenty seeded riders for what are certain to be next month, exciting, compelling, drama filled Metzeler, Entire Cover Insurance Super Twins races, have been revealed.
Carrying the prestigious No.1 plate, which he additionally holds for the Monster Energy Supersport races is Paul Jordan.
A podium finisher in 2022, Jordan has designs on more stellar results in June, when he will be piloting Stop & Seal / Rev2Race Yamaha machinery.
Next away is 2019 class runner-up, ‘132 Mph’ club member, KTS Racing powered by Steadplan’s Jamie Coward.
France’s first TT rostrum finisher of the 21st Century, Pierre Yves Bian (VAS Engine Paton) goes at three whilst Macau GP wins record holder Michael Rutter (Bathams Ales Yamaha) holds the four-plate.
Five plate holder is newly Paton powered Rob Hodson (SMT Racing) whilst the six-plate carrier is Twins TT lap record holder, 25 times TT winner Michael Dunlop.
Again, astride Paton tackle, the potentially history making Northern Irishman is super keen to grab back the Twins class crown.
Two times British Superbike Champion Josh Brookes (Stop & Seal/Rev 2 Race Yamaha), 2022 King of The Roads Champion Davey Todd (Dafabet Racing Kawasaki) occupy plates seven and eight.
Finalising the first ten starters are Dominic Herbertson (BE/RK Racing Paton) and ‘136 Mph’ man Peter Hickman (PHR Performance Yamaha).
Eleven, twelve, thirteen plate holders respectively, Gary Johnson (Dafabet Racing Kawasaki), Stefano Bonetti (VAS Engine Racing Paton), fitness permitting Lee Johnston (Ashcourt Racing Aprilia) add further potential rostrum finishing depth to the twin’s field.
Same applies to second place finisher in last year’s opening twins’ race, Michael Browne.
Rounding out the seeded riders behind Browne are last year’s Junior, Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Victor Lopez, Joe Yeardsley (Team ILR with Frog Vehicle Developments Paton).
Joey Thompson, Barry Furber (DC Autos Newtown Yamaha), Jim Hind and Michael Evans (Golden Site Solutions Kawasaki).
Outside of the seeded exponents, additional noteworthy start numbers include David Datzer (27), Ryan Cringle (29), Chris ‘Rabbit’ Moore (29), Veronika Hankocyova (61) and TT first-timer Ryan Garside (65).
