The 2018 Irish road race championships are set to take place over nine rounds, as the newly re incarnated Enniskillen meeting and Kells return to the roads calendar.
This is extremely positive news, the increase to nine rounds from this years amount of seven, this hopefully marks the start of an up turn in fortunes for the national roads scene in the Emerald Isle, which in recent years has gone through difficult times.
Next season gets underway on the 27th-28th of April at Cookstown, followed the week after by the 58th Tandragee 100.
After a break for the internationals, attention then turns to Kells on the 23rd-24th June, then a week later it’s the turn of roads action returning to Enniskillen for the first time in 65 years.
