TT 2027: Sportbike Class Goes Fully Sportbike

From TT 2027 onwards, the Sportbike class will cater solely for Sportbike specification machines.

This means the end of Super Twins TT action, which first started in 2012, covered thirteen TT’s.

Super Twin steeds like Paton’s mighty S1-R propelled to eight victories by Michael Dunlop MBE, are now ineligible for TT Races affiliated contests.

Expect Aprilia, Triumph, CF Moto to have a prominent presence next year as the category originally titled as Lightweight, undergoes a significant evolution.

Closing aligning with BSB support series, National Sportbike Championship regulations, organisers have stated that a balance of performance framework will be in place at TT 2027, ensuring evenly matched competition.

The saying depends upon your circumstance raising its head again, many teams, riders could benefit from the changes, some though will be considering their category future.
