New to Imatra this year, the ESR (European Series Road Racing) scene is confirmed to return to the former Grand Prix racing venue in 2027.
Inaugural ESR races from last July saw Eemeli Lahti win in domineering fashion both, ten-lap Superbike encounters.
Niko Lehtiranta was twice second, 2023 IRRC Superbike Champion Lukas Maurer, Kenny Koskinen grasped podium finishes whilst ‘AKA Driver’ Gary Johnson, netted the Supersport races, after captivating tussles with the likes of Juho Kantola, Rasmus Nurmi and Niko Tanskanen.
Absent through injury, RVS Motorsport’s Erno Kostamo, still holds the outright event lap-record (1.48.743), he first claimed in 2025.
