Isle of Man TT 2013 – Superstock TT race preview – Part 1

 

The superstock TT entry is lead by 19 times Isle of Man TT winner John Mcguinness. John who after many years of trying finally won the superstock TT race in 2012 is once again competing for the Padgetts racing team, now known as HM Plant Honda by Padgetts motorcycles for this years superstock TT race.

 

Team mate to John is Bruce Anstey. Bruce has a fantastic record in the superstock category at the international road races and in particular at the TT. From 2004 to 2007 Bruce was unbeaten in the superstock TT race and for 2013 expect Bruce once again to be in the running as he aims to win his tenth TT race.

 

After being Kawasaki mounted for the superstock TT race in 2011 and in 2012 Michael Dunlop is now on Honda machinery for this years superstock TT race. Having showed good qualifying pace at the North West 200 Michael knows his superstock bike and he is good enough to take victory at the TT.

 

Guy Martin has a consistent record in the superstock class at the TT having finished runner-up in 2009 and taking a podium finish in 2011. Guy is once again competing on the Tyco Suzuki by TAS stock machine in a race which Guy and his thousands of supporters hope will bring him his first TT win.

 

Joining Guy in the Tyco Suzuki by TAS team is TT newcomer this year Josh Brookes. Josh in 2012 finished runner-up in the British superbike championship and has won at world championship level is one of the most high profile newcomers to the TT for many years.

 

William Dunlop and Conor Cummins line up for the Milwaukee Yamaha team in this years superstock TT race. Both William and Conor are more than capable of challenging for a race win and of achieving podium finishes.

 

2 time TT winner Cameron Donald will be aiming for another TT win in the 2013 superstock TT race when competing on the Wilson Craig racing CBR 1000 superstock Honda. In 2008 Cameron won the superstock TT race when on Suzuki machinery, for 2013 Cameron has every chance of repeating this.

 

Also on Honda machinery for the superstock TT race is rising star at the TT Simon Andrews. Simon who is set to compete on the RAF Reserves Honda superstock bike has already lapped at the TT at over 125 mph and for 2013 will be aiming to lap faster.

 

Top 6 finisher in the superstock TT last year James Hillier is a rider who is aiming this year for a podium finish in the superstock TT race. James who will be competing on a Quattro Plant Kawasaki superstock bike is confident in how his bikes are performing and that a podium finish is more than possible.

 

 

Dean Harrison gets better and better at the TT and for 2013 is competing for the RC Express racing Kawasaki by MSS performance team. For the superstock TT race Dean is competing on a ZX10 Kawasaki and the aim will be to set his fastest ever lap times in the class alongside achieving a personal best finish at the TT.
