17 times TT winner Dave Molyneux again leads this years entry for the two sidecar TT races. Dave is joined in his DMR Kawasaki outfit by Patrick Farrance who took his first TT win as a passenger in 2012. The main rivals to Dave this year look like being Tim Reeves, John Holden, Ben Birchall and Conrad Harrison.
Tim Reeves is this year teaming up with the SMT racing team for the sidecar races. Joining Tim in the SMT racing outfit is multiple times TT winning sidecar passenger Dan Sayle. Both Tim and Dan will be aiming for only one thing at this years TT which is to win.
The Birchall brothers Ben & Tom get better every year that they compete at the TT and for 2013 will be looking to achieve their first ever sidecar TT win. Ben & Tom Birchall are competing for the Cofan racing team which is managed by 3 times TT winner Klaus Klaffenbock at this years TT, in 2012 the Birchall’s achieved a second place finish in the opening sidecar TT race of 2012, will they go one better thats the aim for them.
Sidecar TT race 2 winner in 2011 John Holden is back once again for another attempt at winning more TT races. Teaming up with John in the John Holden racing sidecar is long term passenger Andrew Winkle. Both John and Andrew will be looking to have much better luck than from at last years TT.
Conrad Harrison is this year looking to achieve a lifetimes ambition of winning a TT race in this years sidecar TT races. Joining Conrad in the Printing roller services outfit is Mike Aylott, in recent Conrad & Mike have achieved podium finishes in 2011 and in 2012 at the TT.
Gary Bryan, Dougie Wright and Rob Handcock are all riders capable of challenging for a podium finish in the sidecar TT races whilst making his debut as a sidecar driver this year at the TT is Darren Hope who was passenger to Nick Crowe at the TT back in 2005 when Nick and Darren took victory.
A number of experienced sidecar crews are back for this years TT races and they include the local Manx team of Karl Bennett & Lee Cain, Gordon Shand & Phil Hyde, Mike Cookson & Kris Hibberd and Tony Thirkell & Nigel Barlow. Newcomers in this years sidecar TT races include french drivers Franck Barbier and Didier Siro plus seasoned sidecar short circuit competitors Simon Smith and Tom Quaye.
Always a favourite with the fans the sidecar TT races for this year has a entry quality entry through and through which includes TT winners Dave Molyneux and John Holden, reigning world sidecar champion Tim Reeves and rising stars like Dougie Wright and Karl Bennett.
