Lapping at 124.218 mph, Dean has already laid a marker down tonight in an extremely close fought session, that he will be a contender for victories in the Monster Energy supersport races.

11 times TT winner and for many pre race favourite Ian Hutchinson was second fastest, as he lapped at 124.156 mph on the Came BPT YZF R6 Yamaha.
Michael Dunlop 124.053 mph, third fastest, showcased his proven supersport pace, on his own teams YZF R6 Yamaha.
Fourth fastest John McGuinness, lead the Honda challenge, on Jackson Racing’s CBR 600 Honda.
Conor Cummins new to the Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Motorcycles fold, impressed finishing fifth fastest as team mate Bruce Anstey, finalised the top six on the leader board.
Peter Hickman Trooper backed ZX6R Kawasaki, Steve Mercer, Gary Johnson on the Team T3 Racing 675 Daytona Triumph and James Hillier, all showed good form, in finishing seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth quickest.
Outside of the top ten, stand out performances included Jamie Coward 119.119 mph, Dan Hegarty 119.068 mph, Ivan Lintin 118.584 mph and Kamil Holan 118.220 mph.
