The 2015 RST superbike TT has been postponed till Sunday due to strong winds today on the mountain course.
Practice week at TT 2015 has been a fascinating one with Ian Hutchinson topping the time sheets in superbike class with lap speed of 130.266 mph from the Paul Bird Motorsport rider competing on a top spec ZX10R Kawasaki.
Second fastest from practice week is John McGuinness who surged to 130.030 mph lap on Thursday night on Honda Racing’s superbike.
Third quickest is Isle of Man TT lap record holder Bruce Anstey, Bruce is extremely happy with the performance of Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Motorcycles CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade, his quickest lap speed in practice week was a lap of 129.957 mph.
Tyco BMW’s William Dunlop and Guy Martin are both firmly on the pace and both go into tomorrows superbike TT confident of been in contention for race victory.
Following a dramatic change of machinery from Milwaukee Yamaha’s superbike to Buildbase BMW’s superbike Michael Dunlop will still start one of the pre race favourites.
Last night saw the 11 times TT winner immediately gel with Buildbase backed S1000RR BMW setting second fastest lap speed of the night following lap speed close to the 128.7 mph mark.
Further standout performers during practice week have included Burrows Engineering Racing’s Jamie Hamilton 127.752 mph unofficially Jamie’s fastest lap speed to date at TT Races.
Alan Bonner 125.235 mph has impressed hugely on the peoples bike team ZX10R Kawasaki whilst Michael Rutter, Conor Cummins, Gary Johnson, Dean Harrison have all shown their podium finishing credentials during practice sessions.
Leading newcomer currently at TT 2015 has been 2014 Irish road race superbike champion Derek Mcgee who chalked up top class lap speed of 120.272 mph on Wilson Craig Racing CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade.
