Italy’s fastest competitor around the Mountain Course, Stefano Bonetti is set to lead the Paton challenge in the 2016 lightweight TT.
Stefano is all set to pilot CCM Motorsport backed S1 Paton, as he bids for a result of the highest quality.
TT 2015 saw ILR (Ian Lougher Racing) lead Paton’s assault on the lightweight TT. Michael Rutter piloting the Paton produced a top class all round performance, to finish a great third.
Arguably at this moment in time the biggest threat to Kawasaki’s dominance in the super twins class, Paton have added a touch of much needed variety to the top ten leader board in the lightweight TT.
For Stefano Bonetti the opportunity to link up with the hugely popular marque, marks another chapter in what has been a top class TT Races career to date.
His current personal best result at the most famous road race in the world, is twelfth place finish in the 2012 superstock TT.
TT 2015 would see Stefano wrap up another highly creditable result, as he finished nineteenth in the RST superbike race, when piloting Rock and Road Racing backed ZX10R Kawasaki.
Set for competition in the superbike, superstock and senior races, it’s the lightweight race, in my opinion where Stefano could break into the top finishing positions for the first time, around the Mountain Course.
