World class pure road racing is in prospect in the classic formula 1/formula 2 races, during the Spring Cup National Road Races.
Classic Formula 1 class:
Mistral Racing have one of the strongest classic formula 1 challenges, as Jamie Coward and Steve Mercer compete on the teams ZX7R 750 Kawasaki’s.
Both riders have the race winning pedigree around Oliver’s Mount, to record string of victories.
The same notion applies to 400 lap record holder Dan Frear, piloting NLC Components backed FZR 750 Yamaha.
Mark Goodings recently announced to compete at all Oliver’s Mount meeting’s for Team York Suzuki, is without a doubt in contention for top three finishes or better.

Peter Boast, Paul Coward, Martin Harrison and David Bell, all have the experience, pace and talent, to record results of the highest quality.
Whilst one of most interesting entries comes in the form of Ben Wylie piloting a YB4 750 Bimota.
Added quality to the entry list is added by Bob Farrington, Jack Hunter, Ian Gardner, Neal Champion, Scarborough newcomer Craig Robertson and France’s Richard Vuillermet.
Classic Formula 2 class:
Although the entry in the formula 2 class is small, it still has a quality feel to it.
This is emphasised by the likes of Ian Lougher, bidding to add to his current incredible tally of 132 victories around Oliver’s Mount on a TZ 250 Yamaha.
Anticipated challengers to Ian for victories includes Phil Harvey and Paul Owen, both RS 250 Honda mounted.
Padgetts Motorcycles backed Dean Martin, Peter Boast, Chris Barratt, and sixth place finisher in the 2014 newcomers A Manx Grand Prix, Matthew Rees, show that despite the small entry, it’s still a very diverse field.
Round Up:
Since the Classic TT Races began in 2013, classic racing on the roads, has grown and grown in popularity.
It’s no different at Oliver’s Mount, as teams like Mistral Racing bring their iconic machines, to one of pure road racing’s most iconic courses.
