Perry Planning TT Step Up

Perry Planning TT Step Up

Winsford’s Jonathan Perry is planning to step up to the TT Races, having recently made the decision to enter TT 2018.

A former Dundrod 150 and Manx Grand Prix rostrum finisher, the talented racer no doubt has the potential to enjoy a very successful career, at the most famous road race in the world.

Speaking via Facebook, about his TT plans, he stated:

“Unfortunately I will not be returning to the Manx GP this year, there are various reasons for this but me and the great team of people i have behind me, sat down and all decided that it would be best for me and my current situation to enter the 2018 Isle of man TT races.

Stepping away from the Manx GP is not a decision I have taken lightly and have spent hours and hours lulling over it, but I do believe it is the right move for me and it will help me improve racing around the mountain course. Again entries have been opened today and I have applied!”

The Billown specialist went onto add:

“I will also be returning to the International Southern 100, this is a meeting I really enjoy, everything about the meeting is brilliant and I cant wait to get back there for another go.

The Ulster GP for me was the best meeting of my year in 2017, apart from the unfortunate events I absolutely loved it, from the layout of the circuit to everybody in the paddock, great atmosphere and good craic. I will be returning this year for sure.

Here’s the hard part, due to stepping up to the Isle of Man TT and committing to the remaining major road race events of the year I am looking to secure some funding to help me along the way.

This year will be my toughest yet financially and mentally. I have some great people behind me but the door is always open, and there is great opportunities for sponsorship packages giving your name or business great exposure.

If anybody can help out or contribute towards Tyres, fuel, entry fees, Ferry crossings, no amount is too small and every little bit helps and will be greatly appreciated please get in touch.”
