Michael topped the time sheets in superstock practice during opening practice session at this years Isle of Man TT. Michael competing on MD racing S1000RR BMW lapped at 123.239 mph to finish in front of his brother William Dunlop who was third quickest for Tyco Suzuki by TAS with lap speed of 122.461 mph.
Guy Martin finished second overall in superstock practice lapping at 122.7 mph, it was a challenging opening practice session for Guy who endured engine problems on Tyco Suzuki by TAS superbike.
David Johnson finished a superb third quickest with lap speed of 122.289 mph on PR racing ZX10 Kawasaki superstock bike. Horst Saiger was fourth quickest and is a rider who could spring a surprise or two in this years superstock TT race.
James Hillier finished fifth fastest for Quattro Plant Muc off Kawasaki whilst Jamie Hamilton completed the top six on Wilson Craig racing CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade. Ryan Kneen produced a highly impressive lap speed of 120.044 to finish seventh quickest.
Ivan Lintin, Russ Mountford and Michael Rutter rounded out the top ten. Leading newcomer in practice was Peter Hickman who has taken to the mountain course in great fashion by lapping at 115.103 mph on Ice Valley racing by Motorsave ltd S1000RR BMW.
Danny Webb’s highly anticipated TT debut began with the KMR Kawasaki rider lapping at over 108 mph. Phil Crowe lapped at over 107 mph whilst fellow newcomers Vick De Cooremeter and Callum Laidlaw both set consistent lap speeds of 105 mph and 102 mph.
