Dave Molyneux and Patrick Farrance where comfortably top of the pile during opening sidecar practice session at this years Isle of Man TT. Dave and Patrick lapped at 114.350 on Elas backed DMR Kawasaki outfit, the Birchall’s Ben and Tom where second quickest on Cofain racing team outfit lapping at 110.506 mph.
Karl Bennett and Lee Cain where a brilliant third fastest with lap speed of 107.452 mph. Ian Bell on his return to the mountain course finished 4th overall in practice, Ian’s son Carl is making his TT debut this year as a passenger and has already adapted well to the most famous road race circuit in the world.
Franck Lelias/Paul Knapton, Carl Fenwick/Phil Knapton, Gary Bryan/Jamie Winn, Conrad Harrison/Mike Aylott, Wayne Lockey and Gordon Shand completed the top ten.
Leading newcomer in practice was John Lowther who produced a lap speed of 95.980 mph. A thoroughly good opening practice session for sidecars at TT 2014, Dave Molyneux is looking for more TT success this year and practice could not have started better for the 16 time TT winner.
