Isle of Man TT 2013 – Supersport races preview – Part 2

 

Podium finisher in the Cookstown 100 supersport race this year Dean Harrison will be looking to continue the same form in this years supersport TT races. Competing on the Ian Bell motorcycles prepared R6 Yamaha, Dean is one of many a rising talent on roads circuits who is capable of a podium finish at this years Isle of Man TT.

 

Having finished 11th and 10th in both supersport TT races in 2012, Dan Cooper is becoming something of a specialist at the TT in the supersport 600 races. Dan who is once again this year competing for the Centurion racing team will be looking to continue the same form that the showed at the TT in 2012 in this years supersport TT races.

 

Ryan Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall team are entered in this years supersport TT races with Jamie Hamilton on-board the teams ZX6 Kawasaki. Jamie who has a good pedigree on supersport 600 bikes having won previously the national superstock 600 championship is a rider to watch in the supersport TT races.

 

Top privateer at last years TT, Dan Stewart is for this year teaming up with the SMT racing team at the TT and will be looking for a good result in the supersport races when competing on the teams Honda CBR 600 supersport bike.

 

Moving up into the TT races this year from the Manx grand prix include reigning junior Manx grand prix winner Wayne Kirwan, podium finisher at the Southern 100 James Coward and top national road racer, Derek Shiels.

 

Dan Kneen is this year not the only Kneen on the grid at the TT as Dan’s brother Ryan Kneen makes his TT debut in this years supersport TT races. For Dan Kneen this years TT represents another opportunity of gaining a first podium finish around the mountain course. Whilst for Ryan Kneen the aim is to achieve a top 10 when competing on a ZX6 Kawasaki supersport bike.

 

Podium finisher in the supersport races at the North west 200 and Ulster grand prix, Lee Johnston will be aiming to achieve a similar feet at this years Isle of Man TT. Lee has it his disposal for this years TT a Millsport racing Honda CBR 600 supersport bike which most recently Lee achieved a top 3 finish at the North west 200.

 

Ivan Lintin has this year for the supersport races a Taylor Lindsey racing ZX6 Kawasaki. Ivan has already achieved some notable results on the machine at the Ian Watson spring cup road races where Ivan finished twice in the top 3 in both supersport races.

 

Fastest newcomer at the Isle of Man TT in 2011 Simon Andrews is for the first time entering the supersport TT races on a Ice Valley racing by Motorsave ltd Honda supersport bike. Despite not having competed on a 600 on roads circuits before Simon is sure to show his riding ability in the supersport 600 class.

Ben Wylie, Russ Mountford, Davy Morgan, Ollie Linsdell and David Johnson are all top 10 candidates for this years supersport TT races.

 

Newcomers entered in the supersport TT races include Michael Pearson on the Team Hotties thermal packs racing GSXR 600 Suzuki and Sam Wilson on the Logan racing R6 Yamaha.

 

The supersport races always provide us with top racing at the TT and for 2013 its no different. Predicting who will win is tough in fact so tough the only thing you can predict is the unexpected!
