Recording 51st and 42nd place finishes in the Junior and Senior races, the undoubted main highlight of race week for Ian was a very creditable 20th in the Super Twins race.
Alongside the Manx, 2016 also saw him participate in the Superbike Classic TT, alongside the likes of Michael Dunlop, William Dunlop, Conor Cummins and Michael Rutter.
He went onto record an extremely respectable 29th place finish, as he added to his already accomplished Mountain Course CV.
Same as the majority of the Lightweight TT field in been set to pilot ER6 Kawasaki machinery at TT 2017, Ian summed up his emotions at gaining an entry into the TT Races, via his Facebook page, with this one sentence.
“Well I am pleased to say am going to be part of the world’s greatest road races, TT 2017 Lightweight entry accepted!”
