Set up by ex racer Francesco Faraldo, new Italian roads team Faraldo Racing is set to delve into TT competition for the first time this May within the Lightweight class, running their in house built FR 650ST twin.
The machine which features a donor ER6 Kawasaki frame, is planned to make it’s maiden bow into roads action at the Cookstown 100.
Additionally the creative, stylish steed looks set to race at the Vauxhall International North West 200 and Post TT Races.
Machine jockey Rikki McGovern a Mountain Course newcomer in 2013, has quickly developed into an extremely competitive exponent of the magical Manx roads.

A former Lightweight Manx GP runner up he was a TT newcomer last year, going onto finish a very respectable 25th in the Bennetts Lightweight race, whilst August’s Classic TT saw him bank an excellent eighth within the Lightweight 250 encounter.
Joining forces with the ambitious Faraldo Racing outfit, it’s a rider/team combination that albeit new and perhaps from the outside looking in will need to gel, could well spring more than a few surprises this year.
