Ducati Will They Return To The Mountain Course?

Will Ducati return to the Isle of Man TT in an official capacity in the future? is a question that is intriguing and one that does not have an obvious answer to it. The world famous motorcycle manufacturer has enjoyed famous successes over the years on the mountain course including in 1978 on his return to competition at the Isle of Man TT Mike Hailwood secured formula 1 TT victory.

Most recently Ducati’s last TT podium finishes where courtesy of John McGuinness in formula 1 and senior TT races in 2003 where competing on the Monstermob Ducati he secured third and second place finishes. Since then Ducati’s best result came in the 2011 superstock TT race when Michael Rutter recorded highly respectable eighth place finish on Rapid solicitors/bathams racing backed 1098 Ducati.

Plus Michael’s 10th place finish in senior TT in 2011 has been the best result for a Ducati mounted rider in the blue riband race at the worlds greatest road race during the 2010’s so far.

TT 2013 saw Rafael Paschoalin make his TT debut on a Ducati recording 49th place finish in superstock TT, there was no Ducati’s on the grid at TT 2014 competing in superbike, superstock and senior TT races.

Its 238 days till next years Isle of Man TT and there’s no doubt that Ducati fans across the world would love to see the well liked manufacturer return to competition on the mountain course at TT 2015.
