Coward/PreZ Racing Commit To New Three Year Partnership

John and Zandra Preston of PreZ Racing can now confirm the team has secured 2019 TT Privateers Champion, Junior Classic TT winner Jamie Coward for the next three racing seasons.

This is great news for the team following on from the work and commitments put in by all involved last season.

Reflecting on the 2019 season the results speak for themselves, Southern 100 podium finishes, top five finishes at the TT, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix, the aforementioned TT Privateers Championship success and overall 22 top 10 finishes.

The team will be again running this year the YZF R1 Yamaha Superstock steed along with the YZF R6 Yamaha Supersport mount. With plans to improve the R1 using the new electronics package it’s hoped there’s more to come in the stock mode.

Speaking about the new three year deal with PreZ Racing, Hebden Bridge’s Coward stated:

“Firstly, I can’t thank John and Zandra Preston enough for all they have done in relation to how the 2019 race season went.

It will always be remembered as a great year, they both gave me everything I asked for and more with regards to machinery and the mechanism to achieve the results.

For a small team in their first full International road race season we must of turned a few heads along the way with the set up and results produced throughout the season.

We have now attracted new sponsorship which is going to be a massive help for us all. This will now allow us to do some short circuit meetings in preparation for the North West 200, TT 2020 and the Southern 100.

To finish, it’s a great comfort to secure the 3 year deal where we now all know that the commitment and the hard work involved will hopefully produce a top class team.”

PreZ Racing co-team owner John Preston added:

“Securing a rider of Jamie’s calibre is a great result and honour for the team, he is without doubt in the next generation of top class road racing competitors.

It has been a concern of our’s over the last few month’s wondering have the ‘Big Boy’s’ been on his radar following last season’s performances.

To have Jamie signed for the next 3 season’s will mean that we can plan and focus with confidence and therefore use the commitment and determination we have to get Jamie to the top level in road racing.

We’re only a small team with a big heart but with the continued support of present sponsors and new sponsors along with the professionalism required and a bit of ‘Lady Luck’ we can enjoy the new season ahead as much the season past.

To finish, a big big thanks to our sponsors for 2019 and to new sponsors for 2020 and without your help and participation the job would be a lot harder!!!”

The PreZ Racing squad would like to add that their confirmed race schedule for 2020 will include events at Anglesey, Oulton Park and Jurby, the North West 200, TT Races, Post TT Races, Southern 100 and competition at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough.
