Bjorn Gunnarsson Lands TC Racing ER6 Kawasaki Ride

Currently Sweden’s only competitor at the Isle of Man TT, Bjorn Gunnarsson has landed a top draw ride for this years lightweight TT, piloting DP Coldplaning/TC Racing ER6 Kawasaki.

It will be second time that Bjorn has competed for the team ran by Mick Charnock, in the lightweight TT.

Last years lightweight race at TT 2015 saw him finish a more than creditable fourteenth, as he finished in front of team mate and now ninth fastest rider in TT history David Johnson.

Monster Energy supersport races would see Bjorn seal series of highly creditable results.

He propelled the Nordgren Racing CBR 600 RR Honda to thirty first place finish in the opening race, whilst the second supersport race showcased his proven pace around the Mountain Course.

As he finished twenty fifth, finishing in front of 2004 senior Manx Grand Prix winner Davy Morgan, TT stalwart Jim Hodson, Hudson Kennaugh, Mark Parrett and rising star Sam West.

Prior to making his TT debut in 2015, Bjorn had enjoyed two hugely productive Manx Grand Prix campaigns.

His trio of twelfth place finishes in the junior and senior Manx GP encounters in 2014, where undoubted proof of his pure road racing talent.

The last time a rider from Sweden sealed a top ten finish at the TT Races was back in 2008, when Mats Nilsson finished an excellent eighth in the opening supersport race.

All set to compete on DP Coldplaning/TC Racing’s proven ER6 Kawasaki, Bjorn Gunnarsson has the machinery, talent and determination to break into the top ten finishing positions.
