Bath University To Contest SES TT Zero With Matthew Rees

Bath University are set to contest this years SES TT Zero race, with Welshman Matthew Rees.

The Aberdare Park specialist, going into TT 2017, has an accomplished record around the magical Mountain Course.

His TT CV includes 30th and 35th place finishes in last years Monster Energy Supersport encounters, whilst back in 2014 at the Manx Grand Prix on his debut on the famous Manx roads, he secured sixth position in the Newcomers A race.

A collector of numerous high quality results on the roads at Oliver’s Mount, Southern 100, the Ulster Grand Prix and multiple Irish national meets, his 2017 machinery line up, has a team green feel to it.

It’s Kawasaki’s all the way for Matthew this year, at the international’s, who is backed by Team KSM, GT Superbikes and Phil Morris Racing.

Having had a positive first venture into TT Zero action at TT 2016, with Bath University, he is looking forward to re piloting the teams Odin machine, which produces in excess of 210 BHP (Break Horsepower).

One of the main aims for rider and team in the 2017 SES TT Zero race, is to join a select group of competitors to have lapped the Mountain Course in excess of 100 mph, on electric bike machinery.

Determined to wrap up a standout result, don’t discount Matt and Bath University, from sealing at least a top five finish, in the ninth running of the innovative electric bike class, at the TT Races.
