Walderstown Road Races – Preview

Irish road race superbike and supersport championship leader William Dunlop, is confident of pushing for top quality results at the 2015 Walderstown Road Races.

The recent supersport race winner at Skerries is all set for competition on CD Racing YZF R6 Yamaha, which he has enjoyed a highly successful season with following victories at Cookstown, Tandragee, Kells, plus fourth place finish in supersport race during North West 200.


Reigning Irish road race supersport champion Derek Mcgee is set to be amongst the pre race favourites, in supersport, open, grand final races.

11th place finisher in this years lightweight TT, is all set for action on his own teams ZX10R Kawasaki and R6 Yamaha, plus Derek will start as one of the firm favourites for glory in super twins race as he pilots Shane Wogan backed ER6 Kawasaki.

BikeBitsNI Racing’s Derek Sheils recently showcased his proven quality at Skerries Road Races. Open and grand final victories where proof of his undoubted pure road racing ability.

ZX10R Kawasaki mounted Derek is tipped by many for grand final victory at Walderstown.

Recent supersport race winner at Southern 100 Seamus Elliott is amongst the favourites for supersport success.

Piloting JFM Haulage backed R6 Yamaha Seamus has shown this season why he is regarded by many as one of pure road racing’s most improved competitors.


Further quality to the entry list is added by Brian Mccormack, Thomas Maxwell, James Kelly, Andy Farrell and the peoples bike team’s Alan Bonner.

Alan goes into Walderstown in fantastic form, following open/grand final victories at Kells and third place finish in open race at Skerries.

Rising road racing star Paul Jordan will start amongst the favourites in 125 class, whilst Paul has the talent to chalk up top class results in open, supersport, grand final races, as he competes on Moira motorcycle club CBR 600 Honda.

Add in Richard McLoughlin, Sam Wilson, John Walsh, Paul Gartland and where all set for a fantastic two days of pure road racing action, at the hugely popular Walderstown Road Races.
