TT Rostrum Finishers, Five Strong Trickbits Team, Local Heroes Aberdare Bound

With just over a month till the latest instalment of the popular Aberdare Park Road Races, there’s been in recent weeks a steady run down of news via social media, about who will be tackling Wales sole roads venue in July.

Local favourites confirmed to return to the ‘Park’ include Matt Rees, brother, reigning Newcomers B Manx GP champion Michael Rees, Justin Collins and Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams.

Reigning, four times consecutive Welsh Open champion Dan Cooper is set to venture back to Wales next month, as is York’s Joe Thompson.

Fifth in last year’s Bennetts Lightweight TT, ‘Joey Yorkshire’ is anticipated to pilot next month Triumph powered Moto 2 machinery, competing under the Trickbits Racing banner.

Joining Thompson as part of the Trickbits team’s largest event entry to date are Max Dixon, William Holland, Jamie Edwards and former Welsh Open victor John Simpson.

Additional high profile confirmed entrants include 2009 TT Zero winner, event debutant Rob Barber, Paul Gartland, Irish roads Junior Support class front runner Vinny Brennan.

Mick Goodings, Simon Harris, esteemed yesteryear racing specialist Arthur Browning and TT Privateers Champion, runner up in this month’s Lightweight TT, Hebden Bridge’s Jamie Coward.
