Despite pure road racing returning last weekend in great fashion to UK shores at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the abandonment of yet another roads meeting, this time Wales only pure roads event, the Aberdare Park Road Races.
Originally postponed to 3rd-4th October, Aberdare Park organisers have recently stated that due to not gaining further clarity as to whether Covid-19 restrictions in Wales are been eased, alongside taking into account riders, teams, marshals safety as amongst the main factors as to why competitive action has had to be postponed till 2021.

They also stated that if the meet had run, they could only allow up to 30 spectators to attend the traditional two day event which first entered the two wheel racing scene in 1950.
Looking towards 2021, two meetings are planned to take place at Aberdare Park with the showpiece meet featuring Supersport, Super Twins machinery, likely to be staged in July.
