TT 2018: Solid 27th Place Finish For Gallagher In Superstock TT

The epitome of a true grass roots privateer racer, Frank Gallagher secured a huge new personal best TT result in today’s Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock race.

Piloting the 8 point 8 racing Kawasaki, Manchester’s Gallagher who made his Mountain Course debut back in 2014 at the Manx Grand Prix, during this afternoon’s stock encounter lapped near the 124 mph mark, securing a best lap speed of 123.878 mph.

Pace like this helped him go onto finish a solid 27th, in the process securing him a coveted bronze replica trophy.

Reflecting via Facebook on today’s Mountain Course competition, which alongside his Superstock exploits additionally included a non finish in the opening Monster Energy Supersport race, he said:

“Supersport race 1 this morning. Had to retire as my Triumph ran out of fuel at signpost. This was down to the bike running rich. Been back on the dyno and sorted now ready for Supersport race 2 on Wednesday.

Superstock race went better. Managed my first bronze replica! Had a few issues during the race so definitely more speed to come.

Looking ahead now to the big one, The Senior TT race on Friday. The pinnacle of motorsport! Well done to Hicky!! some crazy speeds knocking about.”
