Two time TT winner Gary Johnson recorded a solid ninth place finish, in the RST Superbike race.
Piloting the Penz 13.com S1000RR BMW superbike, Gary produced a highly accomplished top class all round performance.
Reflecting on a consistent start to TT 2016, Gary said:
“I am happy with this Top Ten result and my ninth in the opening race of this year’s TT. My guys really worked hard all week to get me the bike to where I wanted it.
Today I managed my fastest lap time of the week with two 129 mph’s but I aim for more, for sure.
I am already looking forward to the Superstock TT on Monday and I think we can find some more speed for Senior next Friday.”
Coming up tomorrow is the opening Monster Energy Supersport and Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock races. Gary is all set to pilot Team T3 Racing’s 675 Daytona Triumph and superstock spec Penz 13.com BMW.
Expect “AKA Driver” to be in contention for podium finishes, as he bids to add to his already top class record on the Mountain Course.
