14 times TT winner Ian Hutchinson is the confirmed winner of the TT 2016 Joey Dunlop championship.
The prestigious award, introduced in 2009, has been won twice by John McGuinness, twice by Michael Dunlop and once by Steve Plater.
Only one rider has won it three times, the miracle man Ian Hutchinson.
After all what he’s been through, to win the Joey Dunlop championship in successive years 2015 and 2016, is another quite remarkable achievement for the TT legend.
TT 2016 has pretty much been almost perfect for Hutchy.
A Hat trick of victories, including becoming the first rider in history to lap in excess of 133 mph on a superstock bike around the Mountain Course on his way to Royal London 360 Superstock success, have been amongst multiple memorable moments.
His 14th TT victory, sealed in the second Monster Energy Supersport race, also marked four supersport TT wins in a row for Hutchy and Keith Flint’s Team Traction Control outfit.
