TT 2015 Leading Newcomer Derek Mcgee

The standout newcomer to the mountain course at TT 2015 was Derek Mcgee.

Competing on Wilson Craig Racing’s highly regarded Honda’s the reigning Irish road race supersport champion showcased his pure road racing quality as he recorded series of high class results.

RST superbike TT began race week for Derek in consistent and solid style as he finished a highly respectable 29th.

Opening Monster Energy supersport race was next up and following a high quality performance on Wilson Craig Racing CBR 600 Honda 20th place finish was secured.

Next race on the horizon was the Royal London 360 superstock TT. Another good result was chalked up following 27th place finish plus new personal best lap speed of 122.898 mph was also achieved.

Monster Energy supersport race two provided the second place finisher in 2014 Ulster Grand Prix super twins race with new personal best TT Races finish of 19th position.

His personal best result at TT Races soon changed though in the lightweight TT, competing on his own teams ER6 Kawasaki backed by Shane Wogan Derek clinched excellent 11th place finish.

With string of highly creditable results combined with lapping in the 124 mph bracket it was in all a highly successful TT debut for Derek Mcgee.

There’s no doubt he has the speed, pace and talent to in the future be a TT Races winner, he’s already greatly looking forward to TT 2016, next road race meeting coming up for Derek is the popular Kells Road Races.
