Trison McMullan Racing Launch 2022 Plans, Sign New TT Exponent Tweed

Ballymoney’s Darryl Tweed is confirmed to sample Supersport 300 races during 2022, having signed for Trison McMullan Racing.

Tweed who holds the 40 plate for this year’s Supersport TT encounters, will race 300 Kawasaki machinery at Cookstown, Tandragee, Armoy and the hopefully returning Mid Antrim 150.

Speaking about linking up with the plucky, enthusiastic TMR squad, the multi Manx GP winner stated:

“Super excited to get back racing with my old mates at Trison McMullan Racing. The crack we had the first couple of years that Trison was starting out was mighty.

Also really looking forward to working with Barry and Darryl two great lads. Looking forward to riding the Kawasaki 300 on the roads should be good fun all around.”

One of Tweed’s new team mates is yesteryear racing great, accomplished ‘300’ class pilot Barry Davidson, who has thus far in his distinguished career claimed 91 Irish road race victories!

Commenting about 300 class competition for 2022, he stated:

“The 300 supersport class on the roads in my eyes is a fantastic class its ideal for newcomers or old dodgers like me who is at the opposite end of their careers.

We had a good year winning both the road races that ran but we as a team especially enjoyed Armoy as it was Trison local race & the team’s 1st ever road race win.

For 2022, I’ve been again asked to ride his 300cc in all the ulster road race championship rounds so I’m looking forward to continuing working with the team.

Trison has a couple of young lads coming through his team with bright futures & if I can help them in any way I will. I would like to thank Trison McMullan Racing & all of Trison loyal sponsors for making this possible for me & keeping an old man happy at his sport.”

Completing the TMR line-up for 2022 is up coming roads talent Darryl Anderson, who added the following:

“Really happy to be signed again to ride Trison’s bikes. As many of you will say they are always well turned out and maintained regardless to the highest spec so it’s a no brainer to me especially when everything you ask for you get, then with all the hard work he does behind the scenes with the rest of the lads.

We have had some really good results together so hopefully; we can keep chipping away this year and see what we can do especially with the big bike.

I also have the pleasure of having two top riders as teammates so that’s a big benefit to me and two really good friends of mine as well.

Would just like to say a big thanks to Trison again and the rest of the team for having me back again and to all my own sponsors as well for keeping me out there racing, hopefully, we can push on and have another successful year racing as a team.”

Trison McMullan provided further comment about the aforementioned:

“We are just a small close-knit team, who go racing for the love of the sport, no pressure on any of the riders, come back in with a big grin on their face, that’s good enough for me! The bikes are all ready, just need the racing season to start!”
