In a turn of events that didn’t seem at all on the horizon, York’s Joe Thompson has split with WH Racing with just under 130 days to go till TT 2019.
Highly rated by his fellow competitors, various roads aficionados, the racer who’s one of a select group of racers to have banked ten or more race wins at Oliver’s Mount, stated this afternoon via his Facebook racing page:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances myself and the WH Racing Team have parted company. Unfortunately this is a very big set back in my career but I am without a ride for the coming season.
Thanks to all at WH Racing and wish them the best of success.”

Additionally commenting via Facebook, WH Racing issued a short but candid statement about parting company with leading next gen International road racer Thompson:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances WH Racing Team and Joey Thompson have parted company ahead of the 2019 season.
We would like to thank Joey and wish him all of the very best of luck in his career.”
