Suter are planning to return to the TT Races next year, with their vastly improved MMX 500 machine. TT debutants last year with none other than Mountain Course great Ian Lougher, it proved it’s fair to say a learning experience TT 2016.
Still there was positives to take which included finishing the record breaking Pokerstars Senior race, capturing the imagination of thousands of two stroke fans and providing one of the great soundtracks of recent TT’s.
Non starters at TT 2017, the Swiss based firm has focused this year on the Moto 2 World Championship, which they have recently withdrawn from for 2018.
Aiming to rapidly move up the order at TT 2018, Eskil Suter has stated recently that for his company’s second TT campaign, he would like to work with an up coming rising Mountain Course exponent.
Turbenthal’s Suter a former Moto GP rider, has full confidence that with the right rider on board the MMX 500 can prove a force to be reckoned with.
A bit like FTR Moto’s Moto 2 machine and the ex Grand Prix Paton at the Centenary TT, the MMX 500 Suter provides something different to the big bike field at the world’s most famous road race.
Although many might not regard the Suter as been capable of challenging for at minimum a top 15 finish, we’ve seen over the years at the TT how underdog outfits have gone onto enjoy various momentous moments.
Their planned entry, adds another touch of excitement to what’s shaping up to be a truly compelling TT 2018.
