A Manx GP newcomer this year, he went onto enjoy an accomplished first two week foray into Mountain Course competition, securing very creditable eighth and thirty fifth place finishes in the Newcomers A and Junior races.
Prior to the Manx he impressed within his second Southern 100 tenure, scoring a maiden roads rostrum finish via third in the Senior Support race.
This excellent result was complimented by top five finishes in the 600/1000 and Supersport B races, as the DCR (Denise Chenoweth Racing) backed racer established himself as one of the up coming rising exponents of the ‘Friendly Races’.
Speaking via his racing website, Richard recently provided an in depth insight into his racing philosophy, which is as follows:
“Racing a motorbike in my opinion is something that my whole family commits to. It’s the behind the scenes efforts that really make it worth while.
So many different strings needs to be pulled to line up on the circuit and when a result comes in, you know it’s all worth it.
It’s a lot more effort than any other sport to compete in but I genuinely think it’s all worth it when you hit your targets.”
