By Rising star at the Isle of Man TT Steve Mercer has joined the Penz 13.com BMW team for this years event. Steve will be competing on the new BMW HP4 superstock bike in the superbike, superstock and senior TT races. In 2012 Steve took a brilliant 12th place finish in the superbike TT race and lapped at a personal best speed of 126.323 mph.
This puts Steve in the top 20 fastest ever riders at the Isle of Man TT. At the Macau grand prix in 2012 Steve took a top 10 finish competing on a Honda Fireblade superbike. In his road racing career so far Steve has achieved top results not only at the TT and at the Macau grand prix but also at Oliver’s Mount, Ulster grand prix, Southern 100 and at the Armoy road races. For this year Steve will be aiming to break into the top 10 in the big bike races at the TT and to also set personal best lap times.
