Former Irish Road Race Junior Support Championship runner up Michael Browne, will make the step up to the TT Races this year, as he aims to build upon an impressive maiden Mountain Course tenure at last years Manx Grand Prix.
Carrying pure road racing experience a plenty going into his first Manx roads venture, whilst his speed, ability on the world famous Manx roads might have surprised many, it didn’t surprise at all those closely involved within the roads scene.
Impressing throughout practice week, the Newcomers A race saw him quickly jump to the helm of the field, moving steadily clear prior to mechanical misfortune curtailing his challenge.
Despite the obvious disappointment of retiring from Newcomers A race lead, he put it all behind him in the showpiece Senior Manx GP, leading the Mountain Course debutants challenge.

Finishing a quite brilliant 4th, the fourth and final lap of the drama filled, captivating race saw him lap at an impressive 119.788 mph.
Joining Peoples Bike Team’s Matt Stevenson, James Chawke and Dean Osborne in moving up to TT affiliated competition, his first TT campaign is set to see him focus on the Monster Energy Supersport encounters, competing under his own teams banner (Mike Browne Racing).
Although TT 2019 will mark just his second two week stint on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, he’s not to be underestimated and is extremely capable of mixing it with many an established TT exponent, alongside contending for high quality finishes.
