PreZ Racing Secure Jamie Coward’s Services, High Spec Yamaha’s For 2019, 2020 Roads Seasons

The ambitious Isle of Man based PreZ Racing team have secured the services of one of pure road racing’s most highly regarded, respected new wave competitors for the 2019, 2020 seasons, twice TT Privateers Championship runner up Jamie Coward.

Hebden Bridge’s Coward who enjoyed in August a fantastic Classic TT meeting, scoring second place finishes in the Bennetts Senior, Locate.im Junior races, is set to pilot next year Raceways built YZF R6, YZF R1M Yamaha machinery at the ‘Big Three’ International roads events, the TT, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.

A highly accomplished exponent of all three events, the always hard working PreZ Racing squad who will also return to the Southern 100 are quietly confident that the amiable Hebden Bridge racer can record a string of top calibre results, and lead the Yamaha challenge in the Supersport, Superstock, Superbike encounters on the fabled Mountain Course, Triangle, Dundrod, Billown courses.

Speaking recently about securing the former Newcomers A Manx GP runner up’s services for the 2019, 2020 roads seasons, PreZ Racing Team Owners John and Zandra Preston stated:

“We are delighted to have Jamie riding for the PreZ Racing team next season. He is such an easy rider to work with and always wants the best for the team.

His determination to succeed is second to none, and we believe the Yamaha package will provide him with some top class finishes next season.

Although we’re a small outfit, the team behind the scenes work really hard to achieve and maintain the high standards required to make Jamie’s job enjoyable whilst out on the closed roads.

Can we take the opportunity to thank Paul Thompson, Alex Aitchison and Steve Beale for their support and hard work in 2018 and look forward to working with the guys again in 2019.”

Looking forward to linking up again with the Manx outfit, lead rider Jamie Coward candidly recently stated:

“I am really happy and excited to announce that he would be riding for PreZ Racing on the Yamaha R1 and R6 next season.

The team is only small but is very well run by John and Zandra Preston. Alongside them are the guys who look after the machinery and have to say we all get on like a ‘house on fire’.”

Adding his thoughts on piloting the Raceways built YZF R1M Yamaha, he said:

“I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into the Yamaha R1, and believe the bike will really suit my riding style. The bike following a few years of development now looks like a good package.

Looking forward to doing a lot of riding through testing leading up to the North West and TT which John and Zandra have agreed to, which will get me sharpened up in preparation for the campaign ahead.”
