Michael Sweeney is planning to make this year his Southern 100 debut.
The reigning Irish road race 250 champion is all set to compete in superbike, supersport and super twin races at the Billown based meeting which celebrates its 60th anniversary of road racing action in 2015.
Last season was a hugely successful one for the two junior Manx Grand Prix winner.
His first year of competition at the Isle of Man TT saw series of consistent and solid results achieved which included hugely creditable 14th position in lightweight race.
Further highlights in 2014 included second place finishes in grand final races at Kells and Skerries road races plus finishing runner up in the Irish road race superbike championship.
This season is set to see Michael ZX10 Kawasaki mounted for superbike races, supersport races sees the rider who has lapped in the 124 mph bracket on the mountain course R6 Yamaha mounted.
Alongside making his Southern 100 debut in 2015 he is also fully set to make his Oliver’s Mount debut at the Spring Cup National Road Races competing in superbike, supersport and super twins races.
Regarded by many to be one of the most improved road racers in recent years Michael Sweeney’s Southern 100 and Oliver’s Mount debut’s will be watched closely by many to see how he adapts to two of the most iconic road racing circuits in the world.
