Michael Dunlop edged out brother William Dunlop to set quickest time in superbike qualifying at Armoy road races. Michael competing on his own teams S1000RR BMW produced a lap speed of 103.782 mph.
Tyco Suzuki by TAS’s team mates William Dunlop lapping at 103.688 mph and Guy Martin 103.269 mph where both showing excellent pace throughout the whole qualifying session.
Armoy newcomer Dan Kneen finished fourth fastest cracking the 103 mph bracket on Cookstown Burrows engineering GSX-R 1000 Suzuki. Seamus Elliott rounded out the top five following a fine performance whilst Derek Sheils achieved sixth quickest time on CD racing ZX10 Kawasaki.
Derek Mcgee secured seventh fastest time, Davy Morgan was a highly creditable eighth quickest and Keith Amor was leading supersport 600 mounted rider finishing ninth overall.
Michael Sweeney completed the top ten on Martin Jones racing ZX10 Kawasaki, James Cowton making his Armoy road races debut secured 11th quickest time, James was second fastest supersport 600 mounted rider in qualifying.
