The Joey Dunlop Foundation will soon be celebrating the full build of the charity’s new holiday apartments.
Construction work for the apartments, is set to be completed in March, with the 30th of April set to showcase the new accommodation blocs to the Manx public.
Mad Sunday on the 4th of June, during the TT 2017 festival, will see the new apartments officially opened by some of the members of pure road racing’s most famous family, the Dunlop’s.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 3PM.
This will be followed by additional celebrations in former TT winner Klaus Klaffenbock’s corporate unit.
Speaking about the upcoming celebrations, to toast JDF’s newest innovations, Charity Trustee Kevin Quirk, stated:
“The team of volunteers, our building contractor, Andy Faragher, Manx Gas and DLP have worked extremely hard to achieve our dream of additional apartments being operational by TT 2017.
The afternoon grand opening will attract large crowds and the evening event will be time to celebrate, with several TT stars scheduled to be in attendance.”
