TT stalwart Jim Hodson is all set for action at TT 2016.
TT 2016 marks 35 years since he made his debut on the mountain course, at the 1981 Manx Grand Prix.
Since then he has gone onto enjoy, a successful career on the most famous of all pure road racing circuit’s.
Main highlights to date of his TT career, include second place finish in 2002 lightweight 400 TT.
For next years TT Races, Jim is all set to pilot I-Designs/DCR/JGH Racing backed ZX10R Kawasaki in superbike, superstock and the blue riband senior TT.
Monster Energy supersport races sees him competing on Al Gibbon Racing YZF R6 Yamaha, as he targets series of first class results.
Having competed at TT Races since 1983, Jim has seen many a change unfold at the most famous road race in the world.
Jim’s opinion on the TT today, is that it has moved forward, in particular in the last ten years. Standard of the entry list has grown, calibre of riders has grown, organising has grown.
Another landmark TT landmark for Jim next year, will be competing for the first time on the mountain course alongside his son 2015 super twins Manx Grand Prix winner Rob Hodson.
Jim Hodson has in his long illustrious TT career competed against many a TT star, including the legendary Joey Dunlop, Robert Dunlop, Philip McCallen, Steve Hislop, Carl Fogarty and David Jefferies.
Approaching almost 35 years of competition at the road race which first ran in 1907, he’s still as determined as he was in 1983 when he first competed at the TT, to achieve results of the highest quality.
