By Isle of Man TT 2013 – Superbike TT race preview – Part 2
TT winners Gary Johnson and Ian Lougher are both on Honda machinery for this year’s superbike TT race. Both Gary and Ian have been podium finishers in the superbike TT race and in 2013 expect them both to be in the running for podium positions and potentially a race win.
Dan Stewart and Dan Kneen are both looking for their first TT podium finish this year. For this years superbike race Dan Stewart is competing on a SMT racing prepared Honda Fireblade superbike whilst Dan Kneen remains with the Mark Blooms racing Suzuki team.
Top 10 finisher in the supersport TT races Dan Cooper will be looking for a top 10 finish in this years superbike TT race when competing for the Centurion racing team on a superbike spec Honda.
Macau grand prix podium finisher in 2012 Simon Andrews is one of many riders capable of achieving a top results at this years Isle of Man TT. Simon now competing for the RAF Reserves Honda team will be aiming to improve on his current fastest lap time at the TT.
The Penz 13.com BMW team are running a four man team in this years superbike TT race with seasoned TT rider Steve Mercer leading the teams entry. Also competing for the team is Herve Ganther, Yoshinari Matsushita and TT newcomer Steven Michels.
Derek Shiels, Stephen Thompson, Rob Barber, Ollie Linsdell, Ian Pattinson, Scott Wilson and Ben Wylie are just some of many riders capable of challenging for top 10 finishes in the superbike TT race.
International road racing stars Josh Brookes, Branko Srdanov, Nuno Caetano, Horst Saiger and AJ Venter are all entered in the superbike TT race. Josh Brookes entry on the Tyco Suzuki by TAS superbike is one that many people around the world will be interested to see how Josh gets on in his first TT race.
The superbike TT race is one that all the riders want to win, but it will only be on the Saturday of race week at the TT when we will know who has taken victory in one of the blue riband races at the TT.
