Isle of Man TT 2013 – Saturday Practice – Supersport Practice News

Todays supersport TT practice session saw Michael Dunlop continue to set the pace in the supersport TT category. Michael competing on a PTR prepared Honda CBR 600 supersport bike lapped at over 125 mph. Second quickest to Michael was John Mcguinness who is carrying on the good form that he showed at the North West 200 in the supersport races.

John lapped at 124.18 mph and was closely matched by his HM Plant Honda by Padgetts motorcycles team mate Bruce Anstey who lapped just slightly slower than Johns time was a lap speed of 124.09 mph. Ian Lougher showed good form on the WA Corless joinery/Jackson racing supersport bike lapping at 120.48 mph.

James Coward produced one of the standout performances during supersport practice which was lapping at over 120 mph on a R6 Yamaha prepared by the Barnes racing team. James who is making his TT debut this year having competed at the Manx grand prix for three years is getting quicker and quicker as the supersport TT races for 2013 approach.

Robert Wilson, Ivan Lintin and Dan Hegarty all lapped at over 119 mph during a ultra competitive supersport practice session which also saw Jimmy Storrar lap at over 118 mph on the Wilson Craig racing Honda supersport bike. Ian Mackman completed the top 10 in practice whilst Sam Wilson was the fastest newcomer lapping at 113.52 mph on the Logan racing backed R6 Yamaha.
