ICGP series organiser Eric Saul recently issued his delight, about Imatranajo joining the ICGP’s 2019 race schedule, which also includes Paul Ricard (France) and Donington Park.
He candidly stated:
“Riders are excited to join the Finnish organisation for this event and we are delighted to come. The ICGP grid will include riders such as ian Simpson, 3 times TT winner and superbike champion, a rider who is used to race on road circuits.
Riders from Europe and South America will be on the starting line and they come for real racing!!!
It’s a long trip for the riders and we will travel all together on the ferry as we used to do in the GP times, a good revival of this glorious period.
Imatra will be the 3rd meeting of the season and the Championship will be very disputed, no doubt that riders will do their best to score points and offer to the public a very high level races.”
Reminder the 2019 Imatranajo meeting, which for the third successive year will incorporate IRRC affiliated competition, takes place from the 14th to the 16th of June.
