Hutchy Aiming To End TAS Racing’s Macau GP Jinx

14 times TT winner Ian Hutchinson goes into the 63rd Macau Grand Prix, in determined mood as he aims to provide TAS Racing with their first Macau GP victory.

Set to pilot the Tyco BMW, which he propelled to a memorable lap speed in excess of 134 mph, on his way to victory in the second Superbike race at the MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix, he has full confidence in the machinery, which he is set to pilot at Macau.

His total of international road race victories thus far in 2016, stands at 8, by a long way the most international wins secured on the roads this year.

Arguably his performances at the Ulster Grand Prix, where his most impressive of 2016, as he recorded four wins in a day, following a mixture of tenacious riding, machine like pace and most of all sheer determination.

Alongside the undoubted positive feel to the year, there has also been it’s fair to say, some controversial moments.

Most notably following the second Monster Energy Supersport race at TT 2016, which for many remains a topic with still many more questions to be answered.

Hutchy’s actions in the Pokerstars Senior TT press conference, was not his greatest moment, in future years, in my opinion he will realise it was perhaps better to state his views in private to specific people, rather than stating them in the open to millions worldwide.

One things for sure though with Ian Hutchinson, you can’t deny the mans sheer determination to win, illustrated by his multiple momentous 2016 roads feats.

Will he end his year with Macau Grand Prix success? no one at all would be surprised.
