The high standard at this year’s Honda Invercargill Street Races was illustrated by the fact that 28 racers, recorded sub 44 second lap times.
Not surprisingly fastest overall was the commanding F1 Superbike force Tony Rees, who during the third and final Superbike encounter set a best lap time of 39.309 seconds.
Second quickest behind current generation Fireblade Honda mounted Rees was ET Engineering supported Jonny Lewis (39.897) whilst fellow Ducati racer, third fastest Heath Botica (39.972) also nudged under the 40 seconds barrier.
Fourth to tenth quickest competitors were Dan McKenzie (40.356), Seth Devereux (40.703), F2 Supersport hat trick hero Luca Durning (40.788), 70th fastest racer in TT history Jay Lawrence (41.321), Super Moto front runners Andrew Rudd (41.623), Mitch Rowe (42.099) and Duncan Coutts (42.276).
