Faugheen 50 Road Races – Preview

World class pure road racing is in prospect, at the 2015 Faugheen 50 Road Races.

William Dunlop is bidding to maintain his Irish road race superbike championship lead, as he bids to make it an Irish road race championship double, having sealed supersport championship success at Armoy.

Recent second place finisher in opening supersport race at the Ulster Grand Prix, is all set for competition on without a doubt one of the machines of the season, the Ivan Curran/CD Racing YZF R6 Yamaha.

William starts as the pre race favourite in supersport race, whilst standout results are anticipated in open, grand final races.

Derek Sheils is amongst the most in form riders in pure road racing, going into competition around Faugheen.

Piloting BikeBitsNI Racing ZX6R and ZX10R Kawasaki’s, the Skerries Road Races grand final winner, is one of the firm favourites for grand final victory.

As is recent Ulster Grand Prix super twin’s winner Derek McGee. Derek has enjoyed a highly successful 2015 road racing season, alongside Ulster GP super twin’s victory, he’s secured Irish road race super twins championship success.

Following victories at Tandragee 100, Kells, Skerries, Walderstown and second place finish at Armoy.

Derek is more than capable of sealing top class results, as he competes on his own teams R6 Yamaha and ZX10R Kawasaki, plus Shane Wogan backed ER6 Kawasaki.

Currently holding 11th position in the 2015 Duke Road Race Rankings championship, Seamus Elliott has produced many a world class all performance in the last two months.

Southern 100 supersport race 1 winner, is tipped for podium finishes at Faugheen in open, supersport, grand final races.

Further quality to the entry list is added by John Walsh, rising road racing star Paul Jordan, James Kelly and Brian Mccormack.

Dan Kneen was the star of the 2014 Faugheen 50 Road Races, clinching hat trick of victories following wins in open, supersport, grand final races.

With Dan been a non starter, who will record grand final victory?
