News on Kells, Skerries, Walderstown, Athea and now the latest on another Southern Irish roads jewel, the County Tipperary located Faugheen 50 (lap-record holder Derek Sheils – 106.464 mph).
Disclosed this evening by the Faugheen 50 Supporters Club committee, the meet which first originated in 1970, will not be taking place this year.
Instead, this summer, a two-day sprint time-trial event, similar in nature to the Country Crest Skerries 100 Sprint of 2024 (won by Michael Sweeney) will commence.
Full scale road race thrills are-hoped to-be-revived in 2027.
