Despite frequent race postponements, persistent wet weather, lack of practice time, 33 solo racers topped the 124 mph lap mark at TT 2019.
Five times TT winner Peter Hickman Dunlop Senior TT standing start lap speed of 134.284 mph, proved the only 134 mph plus lap from TT 2019.
Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison who went onto claim Senior TT honours, like Hickman set his quickest lap speed of the whole fortnight from a standing start, lapping just shy of 134 mph, lapping at 133.992 mph.
Only a further seven competitors nudged past the illustrious 130 mph lap mark at the 112th TT Races, they were as follows:
Conor Cummins (132.61 new PB lap speed), Michael Dunlop (132.024), James Hillier (131.597), Davey Todd (131.491 new PB lap speed).
RST Superbike Classic TT winner David Johnson (130.983), seven times TT victor Michael Rutter (130.402) and fastest Yamaha TT racer in history PreZ Racing’s Jamie Coward (130.317 new PB lap speed).
Others last year to set impressive new personal best lap speeds included Dominic Herbertson (129.587), Brian McCormack (128.812), TT debutant Jay Lawrence (125.034) and Cornwall’s Forest Dunn (124.773).
