It’s been another tumultuous season of real roads action for Ballymena’s Barry Davidson, who now stands eighth on the all time Irish Road Race winners list.
In formidable form throughout 2019 on the Team Gimbert, Dempster Racing Honda’s, Davidson successfully defended the Irish Road Race 350 Junior Classic, 500 Senior Classic titles.
Additional highlights from 2019 have included claiming the Ulster Road Race Supersport 300 Championship crown, securing a 250cc Post Classic class triumph at the Pre TT Classic Road Races and recording in total 16 race wins.

Victorious this year at Cookstown, Tandragee, Enniskillen, Skerries, Armoy and the recent Mrs Browns Boys East Coast Racing Festival, his overall total of Irish Road Race victories now stands at an incredible 83, just 19 shy of the amount of wins acquired by 19 times TT winner Michael Dunlop.
Three decades a pure road racing competitor, the amiable Davidson whilst perhaps not as well known as many of his fellow modern day roads greats, is in his own right a true legend of the world’s most exciting form of motorsport.
