Twice a top three finisher at the Barry Sheene Classic, Kevin Barsby who’s road racing resume includes a 14th place finish within the Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix of 2016, is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News growing in popularity, Oliver’s Mount Top 8 series.
The Wolsingham based racer who back in 2015 made his pure road racing debut at the venue known to thousands as the ‘Mini TT’, answers to the Scarborough themed set of questions are as follows:
Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?
“2015, my first real road race, Spring Cup I think, weather was terrible but loved every minute of it!!”
Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?
“The spectators and the history of the place!”
Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?
“The first corner, first lap, massively scary but exciting.”
Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?
“Best moment has to be the last meeting (Barry Sheene Classic), finishing second and third in Supersport B races but also because it was the revival meeting and great to be part of it again!”
Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?
“Has to be the late great James Cowton, lovely lad and brilliant racer.”
Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?
“Would love a go on a two stroke 250.”
Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?
“Narrow”
Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?
“Don’t really have any rivals as such but respect all road racers in general.”
